## Our Story

#faf7f2 Cofounder and CEO, Travis had built many high quality courses and had seen the impact technology was making on this. So in 2016 he founded an LMS and course marketplace, attracting government, university and training business clients.

However, the biggest problem in e-learning remained unsolved. It still always felt difficult and time-consuming to create high quality training courses. Often the process took several months and was very expensive. He thought to himself, there must be a better way of doing this. A way for course creators to easily and quickly build e-learning content by simply dragging documents into a virtual 'course box'.

In 2023, Alex, Cofounder and COO met Travis and decided to build Coursebox. It started off as an easy drag and drop platform to build courses with an LMS, but quickly became the world's leading AI course creator. Our Story right
## Attracting customers and growing Coursebox

#F4EDF7 After the first launch of Coursebox we received significant attention online because just like us, anyone that needed to build an online course was crying out for a better way. Coursebox has been used by hundreds of thousands of learning designers from all over the world, building courses on anything in every language.

The co-founders Travis and Alex quickly grew sign ups, users, revenue and their team. Coursebox was iteratively improved with more capabilities over time like AI video, AI scenarios, AI generated interactive eLearning and AI tutors trained on the course content. Coursebox turned into an all-in-one solution for creating exceptional online courses but also to manage and deliver courses too. Users have incredible flexibility on how they deliver and manage their courses. They can export their courses into their own separate LMS via SCORM or LTI, they can integrate Coursebox courses with their website CMS through our plugins like Shopify and Wordpress, or they can deliver the training all within Coursebox as an affordable all-in-one solution as their own white-label fully branded LMS.

## Leadership team

Educational technologist and instructional designer Travis Clapp is the original founder and CEO of Coursebox. As an experienced instructional designer, he has lived through the process of building high quality courses. These experiences brought about his idea to upload all your documents and ideas into a virtual box that could convert those magically into a course. Prior to Coursebox, he successfully founded and built a social based LMS. Travis has 15+ years of experience designing courses and EdTech platforms from university MOOCs to enterprise LMS. Travis has built training for reputable companies like Johnson & Johnson, Electrolux, Michael Hill and SA Health. One of his courses reached 20,000+ learners which was a flagship edX course. He is based in the Adelaide, South Australia office and passionately works on customer support, sales and bringing the original product vision to life every day. After launching Coursebox in mid 2023, he drove +300k organic sign ups for Coursebox. Alex leads the marketing and digital growth of Coursebox and works with the product development team bringing a passion for data-driven product decision and exceptional user experience.
